Geography: European (N) - Asian (N) - amphi-Beringian: RUS SIB RFE ALA CAN.
Notes: Carex lapponica has been extensively over-reported, at least in Scandinavia. Slender plants of C. canescens and hybrids between several species have frequently been identified as C. lapponica or as C. subloliacea (Laest.) Bickn., a synonym of C. lapponica.
