The report referred above is the only northern one we are certain that belongs to subsp. vaginata (voucher in O inspected).
Not included: Löve and Löve (1975a) included several reports, one from Iceland and two from Norway, for subsp. vaginata, but most of them are either not possible to assign or they clearly belong to the other subspecies. Also the reports they referred for subsp. quasivaginata are suspect as they considered this subspecies restricted to Beringian Asia, in spite of it being based on a type from central Norway.
