- Holub, Preslia 68: 364 (1997). - Potamogeton x bottnicus Hagstr., Kongl. Svenska Vetenskapsakad. Handl., n. s., 55, 5: 52 (1916). Described from northern Fennoscandia.
- Potamogeton pectinatus x P. vaginatus. - Stuckenia pectinata x S. vaginata.
Geography: European (NE): RUS.
Notes: We provisionally include the probably sterile hybrid Stuckenia x bottnica as it occurs well outside the range of at least one of its parents (S. vaginata). The independence may either be due to efficient bird dispersal of shoot fragments or it may have a historical background. The hybrid is present in a large gap in the disrupted range of S. vaginata. The range of S. vaginata may have been more continuous earlier in the Holocene.
