For numerous reports of North American diploids (2n = 14) see Björkqvist (1961, 1968). Also Löve (1954b) referred this number from North America but in an untrustworthy account.
Geography: North American: ALA (CAN).
Notes: Alisma triviale reaches the Arctic on the Seward Peninsula in western Alaska (Haynes and Hellquist 2000a). Scoggan (1978b) reported it from the Borderline Arctic at York Factory on Hudson Bay.
