0905 Cystopteris Bernh.
- Bernh., Neues J. Bot. 1, 2: 26 (1805) nom. cons..
- Rhyzomatopteris A.P. Khokhr., Fl. Magadan. Obl.: 346 (1985).
Notes: Tzvelev: I propose to accept the species with long rhizomes and long-stalked, triangular leaves as species of Rhyzomatopteris (with, e.g., C. montana and C. sudetica).
Elven: Rhyzomatopteris is not generally accepted (see, e.g., Kramer et al. 1990; Haufler et al. 1993a). Other Russian botanists (e.g., M. Lomonosova in comment) prefer to keep them within Cystopteris. The differences between the C. fragilis and the Rhyzomatopteris groups are rather clear, and a genus might be justified.
