Boechera Á. Löve & D. Löve
Publ. & Syn.Arabis auct., non L. (1753).
NotesSee also Arabis. A thorough early survey of the morphology and cytology of the taxa of Boechera in northern parts of North America and Greenland is Mulligan (1996) and a synoptic survey for all of North America and Greenland is Al-Shehbaz and Windham (2010). There are numerous recent special studies in this complicated and partly agamospermous genus, referred by Al-Shehbaz and Windham.
Two additional taxa are reported to reach far north in Alaska and the Yukon Territory, especially along the Porcupine River, but they seem to be confined to the bluffs with prairie-type vegetation in the forest belt: B. retrofracta (Graham) Á. Löve & D. Löve and B. lemmonii (S. Watson) W.A. Weber.
