NotesBoechera stricta is a sexual species involved in the parentage of at least 15 apomictic Boechera species (according to Al-Shehbaz and Windham 2010).

Not included: Reports of 2n = 20 (Mulligan 1964) and 21 (Mosquin in Mulligan 1996) from British Columbia and of 2n = 28 (Rollins 1993; Koch et al. 1999) belong to other species. Al-Shehbaz and Windham (2010) accepted only the diploid number.
