Minuartia L.
Publ. & Syn.Lange in Rink, Grønland 2: 133 (1857). - Arenaria caespitosa J. Vahl, Fl. Dan. 13, 39: t. 2289 (1840). Lectotype (C): Greenland, leg. Vahl (Crow 1978: 57). - Spergella caespitosa (J. Vahl) Á. Löve & D. Löve, Bot. Not. 128: 508 (1976).
NotesElven and Petrovsky: The molecular results of Nepokroeff et al. (2001) suggest that Minuartia is not monophyletic, which does not surprise us. However, except for Cherleria we keep Minuartia in its collective meaning for the Checklist. A division on several genera should be based on a more extensive molecular analysis. However, we sort the species on informal groups corresponding to the proposed genera.
