NotesGlabrous plants of Minuartia rubella are found here and there in populations of normal (hairy) plants. They have been described as Arenaria propinqua but do not seem to deserve taxonomic recognition.
Chromosomes(1) 24 (2x, x = 12). - Europe (N), Siberia (N), Far East (N), Alaska, Canada, Greenland. - Numerous reports.
(2) 26 (2x, x = 13?). - Europe (N), Far East (N), Greenland. - At least four reports.
