Notes: Löve and Löve (1975a) assigned the plants that reach the Arctic to subsp. ustulata. The arguments for this were given by Fröhner (1968) and Löve and Löve (1976a: 498) and might justify rank for the Asian plant (growth form, colours, flowering time, and life span). Soreng et al. (2003) synonymized subsp. ustulata with Poa supina s. str.. We have no personal experience with this variation. As this is a marginal and adventive plant in the Arctic, we do not go further with it.
