Notes: The presence of an endemic Potamogeton in southwestern Greenland, a region extensively glaciated several times during the Pleistocene, is enigmatic. Greenland material we have inspected show several differences from both P. berchtoldii and P. pusillus, to both of which it has been assigned as subspecies (both with three veins in the leaves), and more similarity with P. subsibiricus.
