NotesHultén (1968a) considered subsp. gormanii a local race in south-central Alaska. It reaches the Arctic west of the Kuskokwim Mountains.

(2) 36 (4x). - Alaska, Canada. - At least three reports for subsp. elatior and subsp. gormanii.
