Artemisia tilesii Ledeb.
Publ. & Syn.Ledeb., Mém. Acad. Imp. Sci. St. Pétersbourg Hist. Acad. 5: 568 (1815). Type (LE): Russian Far East: "in Kamtschatka", leg. Tilesius.
NotesThe widespread Artemisia tilesii has been reported as polymorphic mainly on the North American side. Hultén (1950, 1968a) recognized four races but two of these are less well characterized than the two others. We have included subsp. gormani in subsp. elatior and subsp. unalaschcensis in subsp. tilesii. We are not convinced that the two races included below are clearly separable either. Shultz (2006) did not recognize races.
