Rorippa islandica (Oeder ex Murray) Borbás
Publ. & Syn.Borbás, Balaton Tud. Part. 2: 392 (1900). - Sisymbrium islandicum Oeder ex Murray, Novi Comment. Soc. Regiae Sci. Gott. 3: 81 (1773). Holotype: Iceland. Oeder, Fl. Dan. 3, 7: t. 409. 1768.
NotesSome authors (e.g., Stace 1997) cite Oeder ex Gunnerus as the author of the basionym Sisymbrium islandicum. The reason for this is that Gunnerus applied the name in Fl. Norveg. 2: 106. The frontispiece of Flora Norvegica part 2 says publishing year 1772, which would give it priority one year before Murray's name from 1773. However, part 2 was first published in 1776, posthumously after Gunnerus' death in 1773.
       Jonsell (1968) accepted two subspecies.
