Saxifraga nathorstii (Dusén) Hayek
Publ. & Syn.Saxifraga oppositifolia f. pulvinata G. Andersson & Hesselm., Bih. Kongl. Svenska Vetensk.-Akad. Handl. 26, Afd. 3, 1: 25 (1901), non Saxifraga pulvinata Small (1901). Described from Svalbard (Norway). - Saxifraga oppositifolia subsp. pulvinata (G. Andersson & Hesselm.) Rønning, Svalb. Fl., ed. 3: 115 (1996) [comb. illeg., no basionym reference].
NotesSaxifraga aizoides differs much morphologically from S. oppositifolia. The Löves proposed to accept the sections Porphyrion and Xanthizoon as two genera: Anthiphylla and Leptasea. The molecular results (Soltis et al. 1996) indicate that sect. Xanthizoon should be fully merged with sect. Porphyrion.
