Chromosomes | 26 (2x). - Far East (N), Canada, U.S.A. (W). - Numerous reports, see Morton and Rabeler (1989). Not included: Löve and Löve (1975a) referred 2n = 52 for their S. calycantha subsp. calycantha (S. borealis + calycantha) and omitted the 2n = 26 counts altogether. Obviously erroneous. |
