Kemielf", leg. F. Nylander, Fries' Herb. Norm. fasc. 10: 24 (Jonsell 1996: 8). - Thalictrum rariflorum Fr., Summa Veg. Scand. 1: 137 (1845). Probably based on the same type as var. boreale.
NotesIn Norway, subsp. boreale reaches the Borderline Arctic in the Varangerfjord area.

Rebristaya: A number from the Kanin Peninsula was erroneously reported as 2n = 70 but later corrected (Botschantzeva 1972).
