NotesRebristaya: The species is in many characters transitional between the two series (Pallidae and Rubrae). In appearance, it is similar to 'shelf' species like Castilleja lapponica and C. pavlovii and approximates C. rubra in color of corolla. Neoendemism based on hybridization might be supposed.
