Androsace chamaejasme subsp. capitata (Willd. ex Roem. & Schult.) Korobkov
Publ. & Syn.Korobkov, Fl. Arct. URSS 8: 183 (1980). - Androsace capitata Willd. ex Roem. & Schult., Syst. Veg. 4: 786 (1819). Described from Sakhalin or the Kurile Islands (the Russian Far East).
NotesKorobkov (1980) considered the Pacific Asian plants to differ enough to justify a regional race, subsp. capitata, but mapped it as fairly southern in the Russian Far East. However, Probatova (1987) mapped it to reach the Arctic in West and South Chukotka. Elven has compared material of subsp. capitata and subsp. arctisibirica and agree with Korobkov that they are sufficiently different for recognition. He has, however, not studied the material behind the arctic records.
Chromosomes20 (2x). - Sokolovskaya and Probatova (1986).
