NotesCircaea alpina subsp. alpina reaches the Borderline Arctic in the Yukon River Delta in western Alaska (Hultén 1968a) and on the east side of Hudson Bay (Hultén and Fries 1986: map 1353). Another subspecies occurs throughout most parts of non-arctic North America.
