Rumex sibiricus Hultén
Publ. & Syn.Hultén, Fl. Kamtchatka 2: 48 (1928). Holotype (S): Siberia: Nikandrovski Ostrov [on the lower Jenisei River], 1876, leg. M. Brenner.
NotesTzvelev (1987f, 1989) assigned Alaskan and northwestern Canadian plants to Rumex hultenii. Mosyakin (2005) assigned them to R. sibiricus and stated that he had seen no reliable specimens of R. hultenii from North America. We follow that opinion but, as seen from the distribution table, R. hultenii then fills a gap throughout Chukotka in the proposed range of R. sibiricus. This group needs more study.
