NotesThe plants of Sisyrinchium that reach the Arctic have either been considered collectively as S. montanum or the Greenland plant has been recognized as S. groenlandicum. The comprehensive treatment by Cholewa and Henderson (2002) of this mainly American genus recognizes three species with arctic occurrences.
