Rocky Mts: 1043 (1917).
Chromosomes90 (3x). - Europe, Far East (S), Canada. - Numerous reports.
Not included: Asian reports of other ploidy levels most probably refer to other species: 2n = 60 and 62 (2x; Japan, Taiwan) and 180 (6x; India-Himalaya). A report of 2n = 84 from British Columbia (Taylor and Brockman 1966) may be of an aneuploid.
