Chromosomes | 22 (2x). - Europe (C), Siberia (S), Asia (C). - Several reports. Not included: A report of 2n = 44 (4x) (Löve and Löve 1975d, for C. chinense subsp. boreale). This number is more typical of C. pacificum but is stated to have been made on plants from an area (northeastern Norway) where C. tataricum is the only species recognized of this group. The identity of the counted plant should be confirmed, if possible. |
