Publ. & Syn.L., Sp. Pl.: 250 (1753) ["scothieum"]. Described from the seashores of England and Sweden. Lectotype (BM): Herb. Clifford: 97, Ligusticum 3 (Reduron and Jarvis in Jarvis et al. 1993: 61).
NotesLigusticum scothicum (subsp. scothicum) probably reaches the Borderline Arctic in Iceland.
