| Notes | In Fennoscandia, this central and northwestern European aggregate is confined to southwestern Norway. Sell and West (1976) assigned one Icelandic microspecies in their index to the Hieracium hypochoeroides aggregate (their No. 81) but they did not accept this aggregate for Iceland. This is probably a misprint for the H. sommerfeltii aggregate (their No. 82). Omang assigned the species to his "Vulgata Silvatica". Another possibly arctic Icelandic microspecies - H. praeflocellum Omang, Nyt Mag. Naturvidensk. 67: 310 (1929) - is also unassigned and may belong here; found at Vidimýri. |
