Notes	Sell and West (1976) implied Hieracium islandicum to be indistinguishable from H. floribundum Wimm. & Grab., Fl. Siles. 2, 2: 204 (1829). They also synonymized two other Icelandic microspecies - H. depilans Dahlst. and H. islandiciforme Dahlst. - with H. floribundum.
