Packera Á. Löve & D. Löve
Publ. & Syn.Á. Löve & D. Löve, Bot. Not. 128: 520 (1976).
NotesPackera is a quite intricate, predominantly North American genus with much polyploidy and probably much hybridization. See Trock (2006b) and references cited therein. The high base chromosome numbers of x = 20, 22, and 23 (Trock 2006b) suggest that Packera as a genus may be hybridogeneous. Packera is part of the Senecio group of genera (Senecioninae, see Pelser et al. 2007).
