NotesKorobkov (1987a) recognized four geographically overlapping (parapatric) races of Artemisia lagopus in northeastern Asia. Two of these were reported to reach the Arctic and are mapped with very similar ranges: subsp. abbreviata in Kharaulakh and along the lower reaches of Lena River, and subsp. triniana as a continuation of it just in the Lena River Delta. Korobkov (PAF proposal) accepted two species, A. abbreviata and A. triniana, as did Krasnoborov (1997).
