Artemisia flava Jurtz. | |
Publ. & Syn. | Jurtz., Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 6: 317 (1970). Holotype (LE): Russian Far East: West Chukotka, the northern Anyui Mountains, right bank of the left (Levyi) Yarakvaam River (the Lelyuveem River drainage), 16. Aug. 1965, leg. B.A. Yurtsev. |
Notes | Artemisia flava seems morphologically close (at least superficially) to A. globularia, based on inspection of the few specimens in S. |
Chromosomes | 18 (2x). - Far East (West Chukotka). - At least three reports. Not included: The single report that Löve and Löve (1975a) accepted as arctic for Artemisia flava was from northwestern Alaska (Johnson and Packer 1968). This needs some explanation as A. flava, as far as known (also as accepted by the Löves), is an Asian species restricted to the Anyui Mountains (Korobkov 1987a, comment). The count is included above under A. globularia, which was the species it was assigned to by the original authors, Johnson and Packer. |
