Arctanthemum arcticum subsp. arcticum
Publ. & Syn.Chrysanthemum arcticum subsp. arcticum - Dendranthema arcticum subsp. arcticum.
Chromosomes18 (2x). - Far East (N, S). - At least five reports.
Not included: Löve and Löve (1975a) reported subsp. arcticum (their Dendranthema arcticum s. str.) as an octoploid (2n = 72) and subsp. polare (their Dendranthema hultenii) as a diploid (2n = 18). The octoploid reports are from fairly strange sources (see the references in Löve and Löve 1975a) and must belong to something else, perhaps mainly Chrysanthemum zawadskii-mongolicum.
