Chrysanthemum mongolicum Ling
Publ. & Syn.Leucanthemum sibiricum var. peleiolepis Trautv. in Middend., Reise Sibir. 1, 2, 1: 37 (1847). Described from Taimyr (Siberia). - Dendranthema zawadskii subsp. peleiolepis (Trautv.) Boldyreva, Fl. Sibir. 13: 88 (1997).
NotesElven and Solstad: Boldyreva (1997c) considered the northern plants of Chrysanthemum mongolicum a subspecies of the mainly southern Siberian and central Asian Dendranthema zawadskii (Herbich) Tzvelev, Fl. URSS 26: 376 (1961). We have not found a subspecific combination within Chrysanthemum and therefore provisionally follow Tzvelev and accept a species. Boldyreva mapped single arctic or near arctic occurrences of Dendranthema zawadskii s. str. in the regions of Yamal-Gydan, Kharaulakh, and Yana-Kolyma. We have seen populations of Chrysanthemum mongolicum in the lower Lena River area.
