Erigeron acris subsp. kamtschaticus (DC.) H. Hara
Publ. & Syn.Erigeron acris var. asteroides auct., non (Andrz.) DC. (1836).
NotesThe morphological features reported by Botschantzev (1954) and Hultén (1968a, 1968b) combined with the separate range might be sufficient for acceptance of subsp. kamtschaticus as a major race (subspecies) in eastern Asia. Hultén (1968a) mapped subsp. kamtschaticus from East and South Chukotka but Barkalov (1992) mapped occurrences only south of the Arctic in the Anadyr drainage and on the southern Koryak Coast. Subspecies kamtschaticus might be a non-arctic Asian Pacific race. Hultén (1968a, 1968b) accepted subsp. kamtschaticus from a single locality in the northeastern Brooks Range on the North American side, whereas he assigned all the other northern North American material to subsp. politus, a plant he was familiar with from Scandinavia.
