NotesPlantago lanceolata occurs in the Borderline Arctic in northwestern Iceland (Kristinsson 2008), possibly as native or at least as an archaeophyte. Hultén and Fries (1986) mapped it from Vorkuta in Polar Ural and Dudinka in Taimyr.

(2) 24 (4x). - Europe (C, S). - At least four reports.
McCullagh (1934) reported some higher chromosome numbers for this species.
