Plantago media L.
Publ. & Syn.L., Sp. Pl.: 113 (1753). Lectotype (LINN): Europe. Herb. Linn. 144.5 (Patzak and Rechinger 1965: 7).
NotesArctic occurrences of Plantago media are assumed to be mainly anthropochorous but possibly established or persisting for some period by vegetative growth. The climatic limitations seem to be strongest in the germination phase. The northernmost Norwegian occurrence (on the island of Måsøy) is in the Borderline Arctic, probably archaeophytic, and fully established.
