NotesElven and Murray: This race is restricted in an arctic context to southwestern Alaska and South Chukotka. Reported occurrences elsewhere in western Alaska and all in northwestern Alaska (Hultén 1968a) and in eastern and northern parts of Chukotka (Petrovsky 1980b) are transferred to subsp. lanceolata and intermediates.
