NotesJalas (1972), based on Schmidt's treatment, included Thymus pauciflorus in T. talijevii Klokov & Des.-Shost. but stated that it is close to T. serpyllum subsp. tanaƫnsis. Thymus pauciflorus is considered a local species in the Urals.
