Chamaedaphne calyculata (L.) Moench
Publ. & Syn.Chamaedaphne calyculata subsp. nana (Lodd.) A.P. Khokhr., Sosud. Rast. Sovet. Dal'nego Vostoka 5: 144 (1991). - Andromeda calyculata var. nana Lodd., Bot. Cab. 9: 826 (1824). Described from northern Europe.
NotesElven and Yurtsev: The northern plants have been considered a subsp. nana (Khokhrjakov and Mazurenko 1991). It is uncertain whether they represent a morphologically and genetically separable race or the northern parts of a cline. We have seen no convincing differences among northern European, Siberian, Alaskan, and eastern Canadian plants and favour the latter hypothesis.
Chromosomes22 (2x). - Europe (N), Siberia (N), Canada. - At least five reports.
