NotesHultén (1968a) mapped two nearly non-overlapping races of Trientalis borealis across North America: the eastern subsp. borealis and the (non-arctic) western subsp. latifolia (Hook.) Hultén. Cholewa (2009) accepted the latter as T. latifolia Hook.
