Douglasia gormanii Constance
Publ. & Syn.Constance, Amer. Midl. Naturalist 19: 257 (1938). Syntypes (US, NY): Canada: the Yukon Territory, "Red Mountain" [near Fort Selkirk], leg. Gorman 973.
NotesBorderline Arctic. Kelso: I'm not sure of your boundaries; if they extend into the mountains of northern Alaska, then this species should be included as well.
Elven: In her draft for Flora of North America, Kelso wrote: "Douglasia gormanii occurs ... in the Brooks, St. Elias, and Alaska Ranges" but this information was simplified, with loss of detail, in the finished account (Kelso 2009b).
Kelso: Androsace gormanii Greene is a synonym for Androsace septentrionalis L., not Douglasia gormanii. Thus D. ochotensis ssp. gormanii (Greene) Á. Löve & D. Löve is also a synonym of A. septentrionale and refers neither to D. ochotensis nor to D. gormanii.
