NotesThe doubts about Norway concern some plants in the easternmost parts of the province of Finnmark. These resemble morphologically some plants assigned to Cochlearia arctica on the Russian side but a thorough investigation (Nordal in comment) revealed only tetraploid (2n = 24) plants in the mainland Norwegian material. All proved C. arctica is diploid (2n = 14).
