Publ. & Syn.Graham, Edinburgh New Philos. J. 7: 182 (1829). Holotype (E): U.S.A.: Plant grown from seeds collected in Rocky Mountains between "lat. 52 and 57" by T. Drummond.
NotesDraba crassifolia occurs also in northern Scandinavia (therefore amphi-Atlantic) but does not reach the Arctic there.
       Petrovsky: Reports of D. crassifolia from the Asian Arctic are erroneous and refer to D. tschuktschorum.
       Elven: Windham (2004) presented evidence that D. crassifolia is an allopolyploid from D. albertina (2n = 24) and D. fladnizensis (2n = 16).
Chromosomes40 (4x or 8x, x = 10 or 5). - Canada, Greenland, Norway (N). - Several reports, numerous counts.
