Notes	Hultén and Fries (1986) mapped subsp. hispida to reach the Arctic in Labrador. We suspect that also material from arctic Alaska and northwestern Canada should be assigned here.
Chromosomes	32 (4x). - Canada, U.S.A. - Jonsell (1968); Löve and Löve (1982a). Reports assigned to var./subsp. hispida.
