Smelowskia czukotica (Botsch. & V.V. Petrovsky) Al-Shehbaz & Warwick
Publ. & Syn.Hedinia tschuktschorum Jurtz., Korobkov & Balandin in Balandin, Sukhiye shchebnistye gornye tundry Chukotki: 13 (1984) [nom. nud.].
NotesYurtsev: Hedinia czukotica resembles, more than the other Hedinias, the species of Smelowskia in siliculas less contracted from replum, and petioles with presence of a small number of sclerenchym cells in vascular bundles. Each of the three known, very small and strongly isolated populations of H. czukotica (on tors or buttes) differs from the others in a combination of characters, probably due to gene drift in extraordinarily small populations. However, it would hardly be appropriate to use the categories of species or even subspecies for the populations.
