Smelowskia pyriformis W.H. Drury & Rollins
Publ. & Syn.Smelowskia borealis var. jordalii W.H. Drury & Rollins, Rhodora 54: 116 (1952). Holotype (MIN): Alaska: the northeastern Brooks Range, Lake Peters, the Romanzoff Mountains, lat. 6920'N, long 14500'W, 11. July 1948, leg. L.A. Spetzman 597. - Smelowskia borealis subsp. jordalii (W.H. Drury & Rollins) Cody, Canad. Field-Naturalist 108: 94 (1994).
NotesErmania parryoides nested well within the Smelowskia clade in the analyses of Warwick et al. (2003a) and Carlsen et al. (2010), together with S. calycina, and we accept it as a Smelowskia. Morphologically, S. parryoides seems closer to the Melanidion group than to the S. calycina group.
