NotesUrtica urens is a persistent constituent of maritime driftwall communities in the Arctic in Norway, sometimes dominating, and at least archaeophytic here. It is an established weed in Ivigtut in southwestern Greenland (Pedersen 1972) and possibly in northern European Russia but casual elsewhere.
