Alchemilla faeroeënsis (Lange) Buser
Publ. & Syn.Buser, Ber. Schweiz. Bot. Ges. 4: 58 (1894). - Alchemilla fissa var. faeroeënsis Lange, Bot. Tidsskr. 16: 173 (1888). Described from the Faeroes and Iceland.
NotesAlchemilla faeroeënsis is a morphologically characteristic species restricted to the Faeroes and eastern Iceland. Due to the very high chromosome number, Kurtto et al. (2007) suggested it to be a hybrid species developed from cross(es) between A. alpina and an unidentified species of series Vulgares. It is, however, widespread and also uniform within its range.
