| Notes | Aiken and Elven: Subspecies pacifica occurs along both the Pacific and the Atlantic coast in U.S.A. and Canada. It reaches the Arctic along the Pacific. Hultén (1968a) mapped one occurrence in the Mackenzie River Delta. We do not believe in it. Large (manured) subsp. groenlandica has in places been taken for subsp. pacifica, e.g., in Greenland, see Böcher et al. (1978). We have assigned the Northwest Territories plants (CAN, DAO) to subsp. groenlandica, possibly transitional to Potentilla anserina subsp. yukonensis which follows the river seawards. |
