NotesSoják (1989: 752) assigned subsp. hemicryophila as subspecies to P. matsuokana Makino, Bot. Mag. (Tokyo) 16: 161 (1902). Soják (2007: 293) accepted P. crebridens and P. matsuokana as apart.
Chromosomes28 (4x). - Siberia (N), Far East (N). - At least five reports, numerous counts, one on the type specimen.
