Publ. & Syn.Pall., Fl. Ross. 1, 1: 33 (1784). Described from the Maya River in the Aldan region, Yakutia (Siberia).
NotesSpiraea betulifolia reaches the Borderline Arctic. Polozhij (1988a) mapped it from a lower Lena River locality north of our arctic boundary but very close to the actual treeline.

(2) 18 (2x, x = 9). - Far East (N, S). - At least four reports.
